As the co-representative at Shihwa Lake Saver and chairperson of the ecotourism social cooperative GG Nature, Ms. Park is dedicated to fostering understanding of Shihwa Lake's ecology and culture among young people. Since 2002, she has actively engaged in environmental movements, focusing on environmental education for the youth. Since 2004, she has played a key role in local capacity-building projects as a researcher for the Shihwa Lake Marine Environment Improvement Project.

박선미는 현재 시화호생명지킴이 공동대표이며, 생태관광사회적협동조합 지지네이쳐의 이사장으로 활동하고 있다. 박선미 대표는 청소년들과 함께 시화호의 생태와 문화를 이해하고, 시화호와 갯벌의 중요성을 널리 알리는 데 주력하고 있다. 2002년부터 청소년들을 대상으로 환경교육을 통한 환경운동에 헌신하였고, 2004년부터 시화호 해양환경개선사업의 연구용역 연구원으로서 지역역량강화 사업을 주도했다. 개발한 교재로는 『갯벌의 이해와 교육』,『시화호로 가는 길』, 『시화호 잃어버린 바다를 찾아서』 (총서 3권) 등이 있다.
