Jeewi Lee is a South Korean-German artist, based in Berlin. Her work predominantly deals with traces by thematising the past, presence and absence. In her installations, videos and painting series, the traces exist as residue of past lives, a visual allegory for lived experience, place and memory. The artist carries out intensive research on materials and their properties by transforming or combining them new in her working process. This leads to her exploring the poetic context of the individual materials. In her work, she often gets involved with the exhibition space and develops site-specific installations as well.

지비 리는 베를린을 기반으로 활동하는 한국계 독일 작가이다. 그녀의 작업은 과거, 현재, 부재를 주제화함으로써 그 흔적을 다룬다. 그녀의 설치, 비디오, 회화 작업에서 그 흔적은 과거의 삶의 잔여물, 삶의 경험에 대한 시각적 알레고리로서 존재한다. 작가는 작업 과정 속에서 새로운 재료들을 결합하고 변형함으로써 재료와 그것의 특성에 대한 연구를 수행한다. 이는 그녀가 개별 재료의 시적인 맥락을 탐구하도록 이끈다. 작가는 종종 전시 공간과 관련을 맺고 장소 특정적 설치작업을 발전시키기도 한다.
